How to Customize Registration Questions on GoJammin
Last reviewed: April 1, 2026
Registration questions let you collect additional information from attendees during checkout. You can ask about dietary preferences, t-shirt size, invoice details, or any other information needed to organize your event.
Customize the questions asked during checkout to collect important information from attendees. Three default fields — First Name, Last Name, and Email — are always collected automatically and cannot be removed. All additional questions are configured by you.
Attendee data collection method
Before adding questions, decide how to collect attendee data. In the Attendee Information section, you’ll find the Attendee Data Collection setting with two options:
- Collect details per ticket (PER_TICKET) — the system asks for name and email for each ticket purchased. If someone buys 3 tickets, they fill out the form 3 times. Best for events where each attendee must be identified — conferences, workshops, training sessions.
- Collect details per order (PER_ORDER) — the system uses the buyer’s details for all tickets in the order. Faster for the buyer. Best for group purchases where individual attendee identification isn’t needed.
Question scopes: Order and Attendee
Registration questions are divided into two tabs that determine when the question is asked:
- Order — questions asked once per entire order, regardless of the number of tickets purchased. Examples: “How did you hear about us?”, “Company name for invoice”.
- Attendee — questions asked separately for each product (ticket). Examples: “T-shirt size”, “Dietary preferences”, “Job title”.
Switch between the tabs at the top of the questions list to manage questions in the appropriate scope.
Adding a question
To add a new registration question, follow these steps:
Go to your event and click Registration Questions in the side menu of the organizer dashboard
Click the Add Question button — the new question creation dialog will open

Select the question scope in the Who should answer this question? field — Ask once per order (question in the Order tab) or Ask once per product (question in the Attendee tab, with the ability to select specific products)
Select the question type in the What is the question type? field — 7 types to choose from: Single Line Text (short answers), Multi-line Text (longer answers), Checkboxes (multiple choice), Radio Option (single choice), Dropdown Selection (dropdown list), Address (standard address fields), or Date (date picker)
Enter the Question Title (required field) — optionally add a Question Description as helper text for more complex questions
For Checkboxes, Radio Option, and Dropdown Selection types: add Answer Options — you can add or remove each option using buttons next to the list

Turn on the Required toggle if the question must be answered before checkout — turn on Hide this question if it should be visible only to the organizer
Managing questions
After adding questions, you can manage them directly from the list:
- Reorder — drag and drop question cards to change the display order in the form.
- Question card — each card shows: question title, Required badge (red), question type label, and option count for multi-answer types.
- Hidden questions — marked with a crossed-out eye icon with a tooltip “Hidden from attendees — visible only to organizers”.
- Edit and delete — click the action menu on a question and select Edit or Delete.
Preview and export
Checkout Form Preview — expand this section to see how the questions will look from the buyer’s perspective. The live preview shows the Order panel and the Per Attendee panel, so you can check the form before publishing changes.
Export Answers — click this button to download all collected answers to registration questions. The file contains answers from all orders.
