This workshop was created out of the need to create a space where the body can find its natural relaxation, and the mind can finally rest. During these two evenings, I will invite you to a shared practice that enables: - supporting the proper functioning of the nervous system through mindful touch - experiencing presence and a deep sense of safety - understanding how to start treating your body so it becomes a safe base and a source of relief - experiencing relief from tension and more lightness in being I will share practices with you that helped me transition from psychosomatic illnesses, depression, and insomnia to regaining health, peace, and a sense of life. In a world that offers so many possibilities, cleverly grabs our attention, and is full of loud noise, it can sometimes be difficult to stay connected with yourself and act in accordance with what is important to you. Information seems to press in from all sides, senses receive thousands of stimuli, and the mind races endlessly. This generates feelings of loneliness, distraction, and lack of control. Peace seems like a distant, utopian vision. When the mind chaotically pulls the body, leaving it no space to simply be. And when a moment of silence comes, the body is already so tired, so tense, and trained to act that it cannot find itself in that moment. Then pain, fatigue, illness, or a depressive state appears. Do you sometimes feel powerless but don’t know how to care for yourself in those moments? This workshop was created for people like me – for whom daily life is hard to endure. Over two days, we will gift ourselves with mindful presence, listening with recognition and sensitivity to what the body has to say. With patience, we will encourage it to tell its story in its own language. By feeling. In a safe space without haste. Our compass will be pleasure and innocent relaxation. Although it’s not always easy, we will practice tender presence toward whatever arises. I will share with you the experiences, practices, and knowledge I have gained over the past 10 years of recovering from many psychosomatic illnesses, depression, and insomnia. Most of these practices first helped me survive a nervous breakdown, then “endure” the time between one therapy and another, and later completely recover and find connection with myself and a sense of purpose. About me: My name is Anna Maria Tuszyńska. On a daily basis, I work with therapeutic touch, conducting individual sessions of somatic regulation of the nervous system. My goal is to create safe spaces where the body can speak its own language, and a person can find softness, peace, and a sense of purpose within themselves. My greatest resource is the experience of healing and regaining contact with the body, which has allowed me to combine knowledge gained from many wonderful teachers.
