Towards Self-Regulation – Development Group 🌟 Start 19.02.2026 We invite you to a bodywork group inspired by Peter Levine’s Somatic Experiencing SE® approach, where you will have the opportunity to experience bodywork methods and nervous system regulation, including TRE® and Biodynamic Breath BBTR®. You will learn – in reference to Stephen Porges’ Polyvagal Theory – how the human nervous system is built, how it reacts to everyday and unusual experiences, and how you can use this knowledge for support. Through various exercises, movement, breath, and neurogenic tremors, we will discover the stories stored in the body, building and expanding emotional capacity, boundary awareness, resource awareness, and self-regulation abilities. We live faster and faster. Amidst a flood of information, stimuli, and interactions. In increasing noise. In a rhythm detached from nature, imposed by the rush of big cities, rapidly changing work environments, and performance pressure. We don’t give our biological rhythms time to complete themselves. To write about this is to write about the daily reality of many of us. Confronted with the ubiquitous recommendation to “live life to the fullest” – we also want to feel. A lot, fast, intensely. We think only such intensity can balance the rush of our inner world, and we don’t notice that… there is already TOO MUCH of everything. Not seeing the warning “stop,” we live in a growing sense of separation from the body, in a chaotic rhythm of sensations or the emptiness of numbness. In frozen, unfinished reactions, suspended emotions, unresolved situations, unsupportive relationships. We blindly search for methods to mend the cracks, reduce tension – “throw out, break through, cleanse.” It’s hard for us to accept the truth that the path to change leads through acceptance of what is, if… we cannot recognize and name it. It’s hard for us to accept the truth that before we start releasing difficult, accumulated emotions (anger, rage, sadness, grief…), we must befriend the body and learn to recognize basic physical sensations. What in your body moves, flows, trembles, warms, runs, pulses, cools, moves, stops, lasts? What changes when you observe your breath with curiosity or support yourself with your own touch? Each of us has instinctive survival forces that give us the power to defend against threats, the power to regenerate after difficult experiences, and to regulate the nervous system. Reaching them, learning how to use them is an invitation to establish (refresh?) a relationship with your own body by tuning into its rhythms and respecting them. You can do so much for yourself, give yourself so much! This is an important realization also to meet your “enough!/ I can’t take it anymore/ I need help” and consciously reach for external support. Make space for slowing down instead of rushing, gentleness instead of pushing, subtlety instead of bluntness, openness instead of clenching... Observe with curiosity, check, search. In each of us is that healthy part we can meet, strengthen, draw strength and support from, and finally – trust. MEETING PLAN: - THE BODY THAT HAS AND CAN In opposition to the frequent sense of lack – the body has, among other things: its boundaries, and within them, various qualities of physical sensations, related for example to nervous system reactions and levels of activation (the so-called “activation curve”). By meeting this richness, through recognizing felt sense, we signal to the body: I notice you, I see you. We recognize the body that can feel and experience. As the basic container for emotions, it can hold both pleasant and difficult experiences. Using Somatic Experiencing SE® tools by Peter Levine, such as titration and pendulation, we will learn to safely integrate experiences arising in this process. - THE BODY THAT MOVES AND TREMBLES The body is in constant motion. It pulses, tightens and relaxes, waves, trembles. It performs thousands of movements and gestures daily. How to consciously use these possibilities? Part of this meeting will be a group TRE® session. TRE® (Trauma Releasing Exercises®) is a method developed by Dr. David Berceli, involving the activation of neurogenic vibrations in the body through a sequence of exercises, enabling the release of tension, stress, and trauma at a pace the body can integrate. - THE BODY THAT CHANGES The body lives, reacts, experiences. It changes rhythm. It records our individual history, sometimes blocking our energy, then releasing it. Our physical sensations related to different situations change. Our physical sensations related to the same situations change. Notice the changes. Name them. Part of this meeting will be another group TRE® session as an invitation to recognize what changes and what remains constant in my experience with tremors. What are these qualities and how can I invite them into my self-regulation process. - THE BODY THAT BREATHES The body is in constant relationship with the environment, in constant exchange. Breath is the best metaphor: I take in (inhale) and give out (exhale). Above all, it is a powerful ally in conscious work with body tension. Part of this meeting will be a breathing session using the BBTR® method. The BBTR® system (Biodynamic Breath and Trauma Release®) is an original bodywork method – developed for over 20 years by Giten Tonkov – involving the gradual release of tension in the body without entering a cathartic state. It integrates many techniques – including Somatic Experiencing® (SE®) by Peter Levine, tension bands and character structures by Wilhelm Reich, conscious touch, connected breath, free dance, active meditations.
