    O wydarzeniu

Neuronal Gymnastics in Practice – 5-week Group Kraków, start 27.02.2026 Our nervous system has different modes that activate in response to what is happening in our immediate environment. Relaxation when it’s safe. Mobilization when needed. And sometimes a momentary freeze when something really difficult happens. However, the key is for the nervous system to be able to smoothly transition between these states, depending on the circumstances. The problem begins when the nervous system gets stuck in one state, for example, constant readiness to fight or flee, as if danger is always lurking around the corner. Or when we drift through life on autopilot, separated from the world as if by a pane of glass. Neuronal gymnastics is a way to destimulate the nervous system and return to smooth switching between different states and regaining balance whenever possible. What does it look like? As part of the "Neuronal Gymnastics in Practice" cycle, we meet on Friday evenings to unlock the nervous system after a whole week of work and enter the weekend with greater balance. There will be five two-hour meetings, each focusing on a different aspect of neuronal gymnastics. There will be some theory, but above all, practice. After each class, participants receive a several-minute recording to practice regularly at home, because regular work with the nervous system brings lasting results. MEETING PLAN: - Breath In the first class, we will immerse ourselves in the world of breath and movement. We will practically check how different breathing techniques can act as a brake or as gas for the nervous system. You will discover which breath calms you down and which gives you energy like a natural coffee substitute when you’re dozing at your desk. We will combine breath with movement to not only calm the mind but also relax the body. In other words, we won’t just sit and breathe, but experience how breath and movement together can harmonize our nervous system. - Touch In the second week, we will focus on touch. You probably know that massage can relax, but we don’t always have a masseur at hand and not everyone likes to be touched by a stranger. That’s why we’ll learn how, through our own conscious touch—whether gentle or stronger—we can ground ourselves in the body and calm the nerves. We’ll experiment with hand touch, balls, and even head, face, or foot massage to feel how different types of touch help us calm down, feel safer, and be more present in the here and now. - Relaxations and Visualizations In the third week, we’ll deal with psychoneuroimmunology, that is, how through relaxation and visualization you can influence not only the state of the nervous system but also the hormonal and immune systems. This will be a week when we won’t work with neuronal gymnastics through the body, but through the mind. In other words, you’ll learn perfect techniques for those days when you don’t have the strength to move and need to calm down in "I’m lying down, closing my eyes, and can’t do anything else" mode. You’ll learn how to use relaxation and visualization techniques to influence your internal systems. - Sound In the fourth week, we’ll discover how sound affects our nervous system—both the sound we listen to and the one we create ourselves. We’ll explore how music can calm us or stimulate us. How movement helps us feel music with our whole body and simultaneously affect the nervous system. We’ll also try to create our own sounds and tune in to others to feel how shared sounds affect our inner balance. In short, we’ll learn that sound is not only something we hear but also something we can feel and use to regulate the nervous system. - Chinese Medicine This week, we’ll look at our nervous system through the lens of classical Chinese medicine: we’ll work with acupressure, qi energy flow, and movement inspired by meridians. You’ll experience how gentle pressure on specific points can help calm or stimulate; how to release blockages to feel more grounded in the body and tune in to the natural rhythm. In short, this is the week when we’ll introduce an Eastern perspective on balancing the nervous system—for both soothing and gentle natural stimulation. This cycle is for you if: - you have trouble sleeping and feel constantly tired - you live in a constant rush and find it hard to stop - you feel your nervous system is either constantly overstimulated or, on the contrary, always lacking energy - you need practical tools to take care of your nervous system before more serious symptoms appear - you know that physically everything seems fine, but your body gives you signals of tension and discomfort In short: if you want to learn to regularly care for your nervous system and discover practical ways to feel better every day—this neuronal gymnastics cycle is for you. Thanks to regular use of the methods from the "Neuronal Gymnastics in Practice" cycle: - you’ll feel physical and mental relaxation, as if you’ve taken a weight off your shoulders after a tiring day - you’ll release muscle tension and bring more lightness to your body - you’ll improve your sleep quality and find it easier to calm down - you’ll notice you can concentrate better on daily tasks without distraction - you’ll strengthen your immunity and feel more balanced, instead of constantly fighting fatigue - you’ll learn to release tension and regenerate your mind and body, instead of accumulating stress - you’ll cope better with everyday challenges, without constantly reaching for coffee or other "boosters" Instructor: My name is Anka Hostyńska. I have been professionally working with the body for over 20 years. I started as a fitness and dance instructor, currently I work as a personal trainer, TRE® Provider, and acupuncturist. Movement has always accompanied me. However, I got caught up in a very fast-paced life, workaholism. I ran a fitness club, danced. I could have 50 hours of training a week and sleep 4-5 hours a night. Always on the run, always everything for yesterday, plus a range of joint and muscle pains and autoimmune diseases. Doctors said my results were perfect, and all symptoms were caused by stress. But I didn’t know how to live and function differently. Eventually, life forced me to slow down. In 2011, a car hit me, injuring my spine. The accident forced me to rest and turned my life upside down. I completed physiotherapy studies and many trainings in dietetics and psychodietetics. I wrote a thesis based on conducted research: "The impact of relaxation techniques on reducing symptoms in women with Hashimoto’s disease." Then I discovered Chinese medicine and TRE®. I became fascinated by the Eastern approach to the human body and conscious work with the body. Since then, I have gone a long way to establish a healthy relationship with my body and regulate my nervous system, which has changed my life and well-being beyond recognition. I never dreamed I could feel so good, both mentally and physically. All this has made me approach the body with greater respect today, both during exercise and in life. During group classes and training, I mainly teach feeling your own body. Allowing the body to be the guide during training. I promote coping with stress through working with the body. I teach how to return to health and balance through movement.
