How does the body move when it truly listens to itself? I invite you to a class where improvisation will be our starting point – attentive, intense, based on the quality of movement rather than form. We will explore delicacy, which carries immense strength, energy, and absorbs space. We will work with stepping out of balance and suspensions. We will seek comfort where it is usually absent. We will focus on building body awareness, so that the body can be used as a tool for expression, which does not need to have a greater meaning. From this practice, a choreography will emerge based on a movement language explored together. If you are interested in movement that arises as a resultant force of processes happening within and outside of us, that surprises, that does not need to "look" but simply be true, then see you in the studio! bio Paulina Skurzewska is an independent contemporary dancer living in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
