We invite you to a shared journey into the world of contact improvisation — a practice based on presence, curiosity and meeting through movement. This series of four sessions (each 2 hours) is designed as a gentle, cross-sectional introduction that will allow you to experience different aspects of this form of work with the body.
It will be a kind of thematic overview — a space for exploration, experimentation and checking what feels closest to you. Over time this will make it easier to decide in which direction you want to further develop your practice.
Each meeting will have a separate theme, and the whole program is arranged to gradually build both body awareness and concrete technical skills.
Technique from two perspectives:
Combining these two perspectives will allow you to build solid technical foundations while developing fluidity, ease and authenticity in movement.

About the instructor:
Asia Joe Pawłowska – teacher, psychopedagogue of creativity, movement educator in the somatic bodywork stream, improvised dancer and enthusiast of contact improvisation. Graduate of Somatics in Dance and Therapy at the Academy of Music in Łódź.
She has been dancing for over 15 years, developing in techniques such as contact improvisation, jazz techniques, contemporary dance, Axis Syllabus®, Body-Mind Centering®, Feldenkrais Method® and Laban Bartenieff Movement System®. She has participated in numerous classes, workshops, festivals and dance programs. Currently she is part of the partnering performance group Oddaj Ciężar led by Karolina Kroczak. She facilitates CI jams and leads a teaching practice, continuously developing by attending many workshops with teachers from Poland and abroad. She balances a sense of freedom, play and unrestrained possibilities with awareness of what, how and why things are done in dance. She discovers the healing power of movement and the spiritual meaning of the connections between body and mind. She asks more and more questions, and more often says I DON'T KNOW.
