Live Harmoniously - Working with Thoughts and Emotions



We invite you to the fourth workshop in the "No-Nonsense Workshops" series. During the workshop Live Harmoniously – Working with Thoughts and Emotions you will learn to observe your thoughts and emotions and manage them appropriately. You will also learn how to cope on your own with entrenched thinking patterns, habitual emotional reactions, and beliefs that make life difficult. Simple mindfulness practices and breathing techniques will effectively help you control stress, anxiety, and the tendency to write “black scenarios.” You will learn to effectively relax your mind and body.



  • What to do with intrusive thoughts and emotions?
  • How to breathe to calm down?
  • How to effectively relax and regenerate the body?
  • How to quiet a racing mind?
  • How to notice your dark sides and what to do with them?
  • How to gain control over negative emotions and stress?
  • How to introduce peace and balance into your life?


The workshop is purely practical; most of the time is taken up by exercises under the teacher’s supervision and according to their guidance. All are safe and can be performed by anyone, regardless of age or health. You will achieve the best results by transferring the acquired knowledge into your daily, independent practice.



Leaders:



  • Agnieszka Janowska – transpersonal therapist, naturopath, a bit of a maverick, supervisor and lecturer at the Academy of Transpersonal Therapy. She works with adults and youth, specializing in low self-esteem; in relationships between close, distant and those who have left but remain in our hearts.
  • Dorota Mrówka – author, meditation and mindfulness teacher and stress-reduction techniques instructor. For years she has explored Far Eastern philosophy and researched meditations from around the world, trying to translate their wisdom to Western realities. She conducts individual meditation sessions and stress-reduction sessions at the Locus office in Katowice. She is the head and editor of the Tathata Institute publishing house.
