The workshop "Mindfulness for Psychotherapists" is an intensive training program aimed at psychotherapists practicing individually or in groups. The goal of the workshop is to introduce participants to the world of mindfulness and provide them with tools to integrate mindfulness practices into their way of working. The workshop consists of various modules, including theoretical lectures, practical exercises, as well as group discussions and reflections. Participants will have the opportunity to explore how mindfulness can be invited into psychotherapeutic work, including how to help clients connect with their own bodies and emotions, and how mindfulness can be helpful for the therapist themselves, helping them avoid professional burnout. During the workshop, participants will have the chance to experience mindfulness practice and learn about the mechanisms behind MBI (Mindfulness Based Interventions), which will allow them to better understand the practice and apply it in their work with clients. In our opinion, the "Mindfulness for Psychotherapists" workshop is a valuable element of training for humanistic-experiential psychotherapists – giving them empirical methods to develop greater awareness of their own and their clients' phenomenology. 🗓️ Workshop schedule: - February 27 (Friday) 10:00 am - 7:00 pm - February 28 (Saturday) 10:00 am - 7:00 pm - March 1 (Sunday) 10:00 am - 2:00 pm Who is this workshop for? "Mindfulness for Psychotherapists" is dedicated to all psychotherapists (regardless of modality) wishing to expand their understanding and experience of mindfulness practice. It may be especially useful for those: - wanting to learn what mindfulness is - interested in inviting mindfulness practice into psychotherapeutic work - wanting to deepen their connection with their body - wanting to learn about MBI (Mindfulness Based Interventions) - interested in learning good practices in the area of mindfulness in psychotherapeutic work - seeking integration of mindfulness and psychotherapeutic practices in their own work - interested in learning what Trauma Preventive Mindfulness is, i.e., how to invite mindfulness into psychotherapy sessions while avoiding retraumatization - wanting to start or develop their meditation journey We will strive to conduct the course unhurriedly and in a very meditative manner. Theory will make up about 30-40% and practice 60-70%. Mindfulness is inseparably connected with the area of compassion and gentleness, and this is how we will try to approach our experience, which will arise during the three days of our meeting. On the third day (Sunday), there will be less lecture time, but a lot of meditation. For 3 hours, we will practice in silence the techniques learned during the previous two days. 📝 HOW TO SIGN UP FOR THE WORKSHOP? 💰 Cost: 900 PLN + 500 PLN deposit - fill out the registration form https://forms.gle/Cnkt5HzF4YpTLy837 - wait for a confirmation email - pay the deposit (500 PLN) within 5 days of acceptance - pay the remaining amount by February 15, 2026 The final confirmation of your spot is the deposit payment to the account number provided in the email after registration. The workshop takes place at our venue at Elektoralna 13 Street in Warsaw. ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORS The workshop is led by Sylwia Plich and Jakub Babij. We are both Gestalt psychotherapists and Mindfulness teachers. We have been teaching mindfulness for 9 years, working with groups, individuals, and organizations. We teach mindfulness as part of practices at the SWPS University in Warsaw. Recently, we have been working a lot with people from helping professions (psychologists, psychotherapists, medical staff, orphanage workers). Each of us began practicing mindfulness over twenty years ago through Tibetan Buddhism, and at some point discovered Mindfulness and returned to secular Buddhism (Stephen Batchelor). In our private life, we have been a couple for 10 years and live in Warsaw. This is one of the few workshops led simultaneously by two Mindfulness teachers who are Gestalt psychotherapists, accredited by EAGT/PTPG and actively working in both areas since 2014. In our daily work, we combine Gestalt psychotherapy with mindfulness, striving to work in a relational and supportive way with clients. In our work, we base ourselves on the ethical standards set by the UK Network for Mindfulness-Based Teachers, as well as the guidelines of PTPG and EAGT.
