International Women's Day with Głodek - stories of Kraków's women
About the event
International Women's Day is a celebration officially observed for over 100 years. We celebrate it on March 8 and this will be an opportunity to talk about the most interesting and most deserving women in the history of the royal city. We will visit several places associated with them.
These will often be stories of extraordinary stubbornness, struggles against adversity, great discoveries and great strength and resilience. We will talk about how for centuries it was difficult for them to start studies, how they lived in the medieval period and which places around the Old Town are connected with them.

- You will learn several stories of women on the Polish throne: Jadwiga of Anjou and Anna Jagiellonka
- You will learn fragments of the biographies of Helena Modrzejewska, Kazimiera Bujwidowa, Wisława Szymborska, Maria Orwid and Olga Boznańska
- And many, many others.
