Exceptional Heroines of Kraków Legends - Performances for Children as Part of Kraków Women's Month

In March we celebrate Kraków Women's Month. On the weekend of March 14 and 15 we invite families with children to Krzysztofory Palace for events where we will learn about the exceptional heroines of Kraków legends.

Saturday, March 14
10:00–12:00 — “A Costume for Every Legend: The Legend of Wanda the Brave” — theatre workshops for families with children.

During the workshops children will learn the version of the legend of Wanda the Brave (according to Wincenty Kadłubek), receive roles and costumes and prepare the scenery, and at the end take part in a joint performance. The workshops are led by Teatr Otwarty.

Note: The workshops last 2 hours. First the children learn the legend, then they receive roles and costumes; the performance is held at the end of the workshops.

Sunday, March 15
11:00–12:00 — “Krzysztofory Books: 7 Legends of Kraków. The Dragon Tells” — theatrical performance for children.

Children perform on stage and participate in creating stories full of Kraków legends. Among the heroes and heroines:

• Skuba
• Pan Twardowski
• Lajkonik
• Prince Krak
• The Dragon
• Princess Wanda, Nawojka, Queen Jadwiga

Participation in both events is paid and ticketed. Tickets priced 30 zł/child (one guardian enters free) are available at the Visitor Service Center (COZ / museum ticket office) in Krzysztofory Palace.
