Breath that supports: direction, rhythm and awareness.
Breathing accompanies us all day. The question is: does it support regulation and presence — or does it unconsciously maintain tension?
- deepen your awareness of your breath and its influence on nervous system regulation
- recognize your individual breathing patterns and their relationship to tension and stress
- experience specific breathwork tools on yourself
- expand your therapeutic toolkit with elements of conscious breath regulation
- gain simple, safe exercises that can be used in the therapy room
During the workshop:
- participants will perform several practical tests on themselves to assess current breathing patterns
- we will look at what functional breathing aims for to support the therapeutic process and reduce bodily load
- we will practice conscious direction of the breath (including work with diaphragmatic breathing)
- we will discuss the importance of nasal patency in the context of regulation
- we will experience methods for safely increasing CO₂ tolerance and work with breath holds
- we will combine breathwork with mindfulness of signals coming from the body
- we will translate exercises to the context of client work — when and how to propose them and what to watch for
The workshop combines practical experience of your own breath with the possibility of applying the acquired skills in therapeutic work.
Exercises will be gentle and accessible. Their effectiveness does not come from intensity, but from mindfulness, precision and regularity.

Facilitator:
Karolina Orłowska — medical breath coach, yoga and aerial yoga teacher, psychopedagogue of creativity. Graduate of the School of Training and Psychological Workshop at the INTRA Center for Psychological Help and Education. She completed a certified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course.
In her classes she emphasizes mindful movement and breathing. The practice of yoga and breathwork positively affects the body while bringing inner calm. In this space we give up the pressure to achieve — we do not compete with others, do not race ourselves and do not force anything. Through mindful presence we learn to explore our limits and discover potential. We listen to the signals the body sends — giving ourselves space for experience that is often missing in daily hurry. During classes she cares both about correct execution of exercises and the comfort of each practitioner.
