Chanting – meditation with sound Chanting is a form of meditation present in many cultures – both in the East and among the indigenous peoples of South America. It involves repeating specific sounds or syllables, often combined with hand gestures (mudras). Through this, we can restore balance in our body and mind. Sound affects energy centers (chakras), influencing our emotions, way of thinking, and perception of ourselves and the world. During chanting, various experiences may arise – the flow of emotions, memories, images, symbols, or bodily reactions. Sometimes we become aware of something hidden in the subconscious. This can lead to deeper self-connection, expanded perception, and inner transformation. The result of this technique may be a change in perspective on life, better understanding of one's emotions, and even new, healthier habits – e.g., in eating, expressing feelings, or making decisions. Chanting helps rebuild the connection with oneself in a natural and authentic way.
