I invite you to the Winter edition of the Pilates Course! If you are looking for a strengthening workout that regulates both body and mind, these classes will be perfect for you. Pilates does not strain the practitioner, but helps you gain even more inner strength! The course is intended for beginners and more advanced participants. Those who already practice will definitely find something for themselves; I always try to adjust the instruction based on the current level of the group, and I offer several exercise variations if needed. Those who have already attended my classes are surprised that they get stronger without excessive effort. That’s the magic of Pilates: the right technique and knowledge of how to guide each exercise make working with the body a pleasure. Why Pilates? This method offers many possibilities because the exercises are tailored to the current needs of the body, balancing tensions around the joints and restoring proper muscle-fascial function. Pilates includes strengthening, stabilizing, mobilizing, and stretching exercises. We work, among others, on the pelvic floor muscles, abdominal muscles, and paraspinal muscles to build a stable sense of center in the body, the so-called "core." About the instructor: Joanna Jutkiewicz – Pilates, stretching, and relaxation instructor. For 10 years, I have worked as a massage therapist, which has taught me to read the human body and understand its needs. I graduated in pedagogy, philosophy, and coaching. I work with my body through Pilates, dance, singing, stretching, psychomotorics, functional training, 5Rhythms, and meditation. I am interested in psychology, psychosomatics, neurophysiology, and various inspirations that help to understand and, above all, feel (!) the here and now. I learned Pilates, Stretching, and Relaxation methods from an excellent teacher, Beata Adamczyk, a physiotherapist and osteopath with many years of experience. In my work as a massage therapist, I use methods such as myofascial release, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, functional techniques, Lomi Lomi Nui, and craniosacral therapy. Pilates is, for me, a method of balance that, by equalizing tensions, gives a sense of center in the body. Thanks to my knowledge of anatomy and experience working with the body, I understand the relationship between physicality and its impact on the psyche, which is why I see very positive effects of Pilates on emotional state: on one hand, a higher energy level, and on the other, calmness and increased mindfulness and concentration.
