During the sessions, we will work on relaxing the body and finding a compromise between control and lack of control. We will learn to softly engage with a partner and the floor. We will explore ways to make the body free and light, even during lifts and unforeseen situations. Music for the jam will be composed by Daniel Zorzano. The laboratories are open. You don’t need dance experience to join us. In a supportive atmosphere, we seek movement, dance, and contact. Starting from where we are. He teaches contact improvisation and partnering, facilitates jams, and conducts workshops for adults and youth. For six years, he has co-created the performative collective Szur-Sure, performing on stage and in urban spaces in site-specific performances, as well as the partnering group Oddaj Ciężar. In contact improvisation, he is interested in exploring the infinite possibilities of movement and the elements that influence it, the relationship with a partner, intention, body awareness, attention, and building deeply rooted trust in one’s body, as well as recently focusing on softness and calmness in inverted positions. - Daniel Zorzano - born in Mexico, he graduated in viola da gamba and violone (double bass) at the Koninklijk Conservatorium in The Hague under Wieland Kuijken, Margaret Urqhart, and Philippe Pierlot, and at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et Danse in Lyon under Marianne Muller. Producer and DJ presenting his sets and live acts in Warsaw, Berlin, and Mexico. Musician and organizer of artistic projects. Co-founder of Artist Kollective KICK PERFECT.
