From subtlety to intensity. How does somatic work with glands affect presence and expression in movement?
In this installment of the series we will look at the endocrine system, which cooperates with the nervous system and affects bodily states: energy, attention, quality of reactions and readiness for contact and movement. Even a small change in this dynamic can alter how we breathe, how we move, how we react and how we express ourselves.
In the workshop you will experience this topic through Body-Mind Centering somatic practice and improvisation: recognizing states (arousal / calming) and regulating intensity, following impulses and translating internal changes into clear expression in movement.
We will explore:

About BMC®: O BMC®
Who it's for:
About the facilitators: Yuliya Dzichkouskaya & Tomek Jagusztyn-Krynicki – somatic educators, performers and founders of the Sanatorium Somatyczne Foundation. For several years they have been developing practice in the Body-Mind Centering® approach – they completed certified Somatic Movement Educator training and are currently continuing the second stage – BMC® Practitioner. They have over 1000 hours of training and assisting in BMC® schools in Germany, Italy, Estonia and Poland.
They combine somatic practice with improvisation, new choreography and theatre pedagogy. They co-created international projects combining somatics and ecology, including LEAF – a Polish‑Icelandic program developing ecosomatic tools for creative people and activists – and two editions of Ekosomatyczna Majówka, supporting people working on the Polish‑Belarusian border. They ran workshops for migrants as part of the Overseas, The Art of Moving Forward and Reflect projects. They are currently developing ecosomatic projects Ruchy Ekologiczne and Ruchy Symbiotyczne.
They are members of BMCA (Body-Mind Centering Association) and the Association of Theatre Pedagogues. In workshop work they emphasize embodied experience, improvisation and attentive contact, treating movement as a space for regeneration.
