KRAKÓW (!) - traditional SWEDISH DANCES hambo-polska, polska and slängpolska (level +1)

We invite you in February to the Academy of Traditional Dance for weekly SWEDISH DANCES workshops. The aim of the workshops is to learn and master at a basic level the characteristic and most common steps in traditional Swedish dances such as hambo-polska, polska and slängpolska. These dances appear in many variants, are danced in pairs — in spinning and processional forms — in 3/4 and 3/8 rhythms. During the workshops you will learn steps and rules applicable to non-stage forms of traditional dance performed at dance gatherings, so that dancing brings you as much pleasure and joy as possible. For people who already have some experience, classes can be treated as dance practice or a form of fitness. The classes will include rhythmic exercises that will help develop a sense of rhythm, motor coordination, strengthen stamina and strength, and give movements smoothness and lightness. It is also an opportunity to meet new people and spend time in a pleasant atmosphere.

Rules for organized workshops and dances:

1. Due to COVID, all current restrictions apply.
2. The fee is non-refundable in case of participant resignation (except in situations listed in the regulations).
3. In case of a small number of registrations, the organizer reserves the right to cancel the workshops; in such case the fee is returned to the nominal participants. Participants will receive information by email or phone.
4. The organizer is not responsible for possible injuries or accidents of participants or for valuables. We suggest having up-to-date medical examinations and personal accident insurance (NNW).
5. Filming, recording and photographing classes without the Organizers' consent is prohibited.
6. The organizer has the right to photograph, record and film classes and use the material for promotion; may grant permission to other entities.
7. Registration and participation constitute consent to use the image in the organizer's and partners' promotional materials.
8. Registration means acceptance of the regulations, price list, participation conditions and consent to personal data processing in accordance with the Act of August 29, 1997.
