The weekend Level 1 instructor course is aimed at teachers and enthusiasts of yoga, pilates, dance, fitness, and related techniques who want to learn the basic principles of using a hammock in yoga practice, as well as gain thorough knowledge about conducting aerial yoga sessions and equipping a studio with the necessary equipment. Aerial yoga is a technique extremely popular in the United States. More and more people are discovering it in Poland as well. Yoga studios, fitness clubs, and gyms across the country are starting to introduce aerial classes to their offerings and are looking for qualified instructors. What sets aerial yoga apart from other techniques? Aerial combines classic hatha yoga poses with aerial arts. The hammock opens new doors to how you can work with your own body weight and allows you to discover a whole spectrum of poses that are unattainable from the mat. It activates completely new muscle groups, relieves the spine, and develops emotionally – this type of yoga works on many levels of body and mind and can be used for purely fitness purposes as well as therapeutic ones. Each course participant will receive the book "Aerial Yoga – Antigravity Flow" and additional materials on teaching methodology and safety rules during aerial yoga sessions. During the course, you will be able to delve into the execution of basic asanas (included in the manual), as well as learn more advanced exercises inspired by, among others, acrobatics and the TRX system. Interested individuals will be able to order hammocks to equip their studio. We are the first on the Polish market to offer equipment made of durable nylon material, certified for quality. Dimensions: 2.80 m x 5 m (or 6m, 7m, etc.). Hammocks available in 10 colors. Note: The Aerial Yoga Instructor Course Program is intended for those who are certified sports or physical recreation instructors (yoga, fitness, pilates, dance, etc.) or have practiced aerial yoga under the supervision of a teacher of this technique for at least three months. It is required to present a document confirming teaching qualifications or three months of experience in aerial yoga practice. To obtain the certificate, participation in the entire course (12 h) and correct completion of the test task are required. After many years of adventure with contemporary dance and theater, she found yoga as the most balanced psychophysical practice. In 2013, she completed postgraduate studies in "Relaxation and Yoga" at the Academy of Physical Education in Warsaw, and in April 2015 she completed a month-long teacher training course in India, Goa (RYT 200). Fascinated by working with gravity, she obtained an instructor certificate at AerialYoga-Berlin and participated in many aerial yoga and acroyoga courses and workshops with Polish and foreign enthusiasts of these techniques (including Milla Floryd, Liliana Polanco, Björn Heucke, Jason Namer, Almuth Kramer, Jeppe Skovgaard). She constantly seeks new ways of working with the hammock, also in functional training, which is why she became a certified TRX(R) GSTC trainer. Until recently, Monika lived in Germany and taught at the largest aerial yoga studios in Cologne and Leverkusen. She is the author of the book "Aerial Yoga – Antigravity Flow".
