Cozy, hands-on embroidery session focused on filling stitches and dachshund motifs.

We'll learn various types of filling stitches while embroidering on fabrics printed with dachshunds. We'll treat embroidery like coloring — instead of crayons and markers we'll use needles and threads.
You'll receive many practical tips and learn 5–6 versatile stitches that will let you fill any shape with embroidery.
Besides learning stitches, I also value conversation and getting to know each other: your meeting with me, participants meeting one another, your hand connecting with your mind, thread with fabric. We'll chat like in a city homemakers' circle.
The result of our work will be an embroidered hoop with dachshunds that you can hang on the wall or gift to someone dear.

Embroidery for me is hand yoga, a kind of moving meditation. It is also a form of contemporary activism, analog guerrilla craft. I love embroidery for its slow pace, for teaching patience and focus, which through its physicality and tangibility gives an immediate sense of agency. I believe its subversive potential of gentleness and empathy is what we need now.
Warmly invited
