Śnieżka and Skalnik, Two Peaks toward KGP in One Weekend — Two‑Day Trip

We invite you to a two-day trip to the Sudetes.

On the first day we will tackle an ambitious 25-kilometre route leading to Śnieżka, the highest peak of the Sudetes. After a full day of mountain hiking we descend straight from the mountains to accommodation, with no additional transfers.

On the second day we will set out for Skalnik, the highest peak of the Rudawy Janowickie, to finish the trip with an easier, scenic route — ideal for recovery and closing the mountain weekend.

NOTE 1! We hike without pressure! Each participant moves at their own pace, and the guide brings up the rear so no one is left alone.

NOTE 2! The first day’s route is long and intended for participants with a good fitness level. Before signing up, familiarize yourself with the route lengths and properly assess your abilities.

TRIP PLAN

Day 1 (22-23.05.2026)

Meeting: Friday, 22 May, 22:30 — Plac Defilad (parking opposite Kinoteka), Warsaw.

After assembling the group we will head to Łódź to pick up the rest of the participants (BP station, ul. Kątna 1) — collection around 00:00 (midnight), and then we depart for the Karkonosze. In the early morning hours we will make a one-hour breakfast stop at a petrol station; at the stop there will be an opportunity to change into trail clothes. From the stop we go to Karpacz, where we begin the ascent of Śnieżka.

Throughout the trip we travel in the same coach — unnecessary items can be left there. We will visit three mountain huts: Schronisko PTTK Odrodzenie, Dom Śląski and PTTK Nad Łomniczką, and we will also reach the summit of Śnieżka. From the trail we descend directly to the accommodation. Around 18:30 dinner and evening integration.

Day 2 (24.05.2026)

07:45–08:30 – breakfast

08:45 – muster by the coach

09:40 – start at the trailhead and we head for Skalnik. The route does not pass by huts; there are no food outlets near the finish area, so bring provisions with you.

After descending from the trail at around 15:40 we set off on the return journey.
