SEARCHING FOR CROCUSES ON TURBACZ + MOGIELICA TO KGP — TWO-DAY TRIP

TRIP PLAN:

We invite you to a two-day trip in search of crocuses!

During the expedition we will reach two peaks that are part of the Crown of Polish Mountains. On the first day — Turbacz, where we will have the chance to admire blooming crocuses. On the second day — Mogielica. Join us for a unique adventure!

📅 DAY 1 (28.03.2026 — Saturday)

📍 We meet on Saturday at 00:15 at Plac Defilad, in the parking lot opposite Kinoteka; after gathering the whole group we depart for Gorczański National Park.

• Around 05:00 — breakfast stop at a petrol station (time to change and prepare for the trail).
• Start of the hike from the village of Lubomierz.
• The route on the first day is demanding mainly because of the distance: the whole route will take approximately 10–11 hours.
• During the entire trip we travel with the same coach — unnecessary items can be left on the vehicle.

After descending from the trail we go straight to the hotel “u Gazdy”. Around 18:00 — dinner; for those interested, evening get-together.

NOTE 1: Each participant walks at their own pace — there is no need to worry that someone will be left waiting.

NOTE 2: The first day route is long and intended for people with good fitness. Before signing up, review the route length and assess your capabilities.

📅 DAY 2 (29.03.2026 — Sunday)

• 07:45–08:45 — breakfast
• 09:00 — gathering at the coach
• 10:00 — start at the trailhead for Mogielica

Route data (day 2):

• Distance: 11.8 km
• Time: approx. 4.13 h
• Total ascent: 723 m
• Highest point: Mogielica, 1170 m above sea level

After descending from the route, around 16:00 we set off back to Warsaw. Estimated return to Plac Defilad: about 22:30.

Please bring with you:

• comfortable shoes (long route)
• other hiking accessories, e.g. poles
• provisions for the road: water/snacks (+ something sweet)
• clothing appropriate for the weather conditions
