Training program:
1. Anatomy and biomechanics of the temporomandibular joint and the muscles of the masticatory system and hyoid muscles.
2. What is the masticatory system and the stomatognathic system?
3. Symptoms of temporomandibular joint disorders, i.e., TMD (including based on RDC/TMD criteria).
4. The connection of the temporomandibular joint with other areas of the body.
5. Parafunctions within the masticatory system contributing to TMD.
6. Malocclusions: causes, types of malocclusions, and the impact of malocclusions on body posture.
7. Diagnostics of the temporomandibular joints and differential tests. Discussion of joint clicks.
8. A thorough interview as the key to accurate diagnosis and therapy.
9. Assessment of body posture.
10. Examination of the head and neck area.
11. Examination of the hyoid area.
12. Examination of the chest and diaphragm.
13. Therapy for temporomandibular joints – therapeutic interventions on soft tissues and the skull.
14. Active exercises for areas involved in TMD.
15. What to remember when preparing the Patient for orthodontic, prosthetic, or surgical treatment - summary of acquired knowledge.

Each participant is asked to bring: a ruler, mat, scissors, mirror, scarf, small towel.

Mgr Anna Karaś
Co-founder of the Development and Therapy Center 'Trampolina' in Krakow. Collaborates, among others, with the Neonatology Department and Neonatology Clinic of the Copernicus University Hospital in Krakow and with Rehaorthopedica Osteopathy and Physiotherapy Clinic in Krakow.
She is very close to topics related to feeding, eating and nutrition problems, dysphagia, breathing, functional orthodontics, the temporomandibular joint, myotherapy, ontogeny, and eye contact.
She enhances her qualifications by participating in training, workshops, and conferences conducted by Polish and foreign trainers. She also conducts training and works with
students.
In her work, she follows the principle of a holistic view of the Patient, thorough interviews, and selecting methods and techniques individually according to the needs and possibilities of the Patient.
On a daily basis, she collaborates with physiotherapists, dental physiotherapists, dentists, orthodontists, sensory integration therapists, psychologists, dietitians, optometrists,
osteopaths.
In her free time, she enjoys the mountains, yoga, music and dance, books, and aromatic coffee. She loves to travel.

The topic related to the stomatognathic system has accompanied her since her studies when she wrote a thesis on temporomandibular joint disorders in women.
She completed extensive training at the Craniofacial Academy (CRAFTA basic level, advanced level, and special course). She participated in training at the Dental Physiotherapy Academy (Fizjodentika).
Her interests also include breathing, the oculomotor system, and myofunctional therapy.
On a daily basis, she conducts functional diagnostics and physiotherapy for children and adults with temporomandibular joint dysfunctions, bruxism, tinnitus, headaches and neck pain, and
voice and breathing disorders. She prepares patients for orthodontic, prosthetic, or maxillofacial surgery. She collaborates with speech therapists, other physiotherapists, dentists, sensory integration therapists, optometrists, psychologists, dietitians.
In her private life, she loves spending time in nature, cycling, hiking, and surfing. She is also a fan of Pilates.
Her great passion is learning Spanish and traveling.
