Day 1. November 16.
At 3:00 AM, we depart from Panevėžys. Journey through Poland, with short stops for necessities and one longer stop for breakfast. We arrive in Warsaw.
The sightseeing program will start from the observation deck of the Academy of Sciences. We ascend to the observation deck at a height of 114 meters. We admire the city panorama from a bird's eye view. Walking tour of the Old Town of Warsaw. The Royal Castle – a symbol of the former Kingdom of Poland (the first Constitution in Europe was signed here in 1791), St. John's Cathedral, where the last Dukes of Masuria are buried, Castle Square with the column of King Sigismund III Vasa, the Old Market Square with the city's symbol, the Mermaid sculpture, the defensive fortifications of the Old Town, the Barbican. We will admire St. Anne's Church, visit the monuments to Copernicus and Adam Mickiewicz, and also visit the Church of the Holy Cross, where Chopin's heart is buried. We will also see the nearby 'playing' Chopin benches. Free time for lunch and souvenir shopping at the mall.
Around 4 PM, we check into the luxurious InterContinental 5* hotel. The hotel we are staying at offers its guests a SPA center. One hour in it is included in the hotel accommodation price (open until 10 PM). A pool right next to a huge glass wall, through which breathtaking views of the city open up. Two saunas, a hot tub, a gym open 24 hours - free of charge, pool. Those wishing for an additional fee can book massages and other beauty treatments, extra time in the pool.
Day 2. November 17.
Early breakfast at the hotel. We travel to the Wilanów Palace. King John III Sobieski acquired the lands of Milianów in 1677, where he soon began to build a baroque-style palace. Soon the king's new residence was renamed Wilanów (Villa Nova - New Villa). A wonderful garden was created near the palace, where plants were planted and cared for, and later the king himself loved long walks among them. Later, Augustus II and other aristocratic families lived here. We visit the vast two-level Italian gardens and the romantic English-style park. We explore the impressive Wilanów Palace with the help of local guides.
Łazienki Królewskie is one of those places that must be seen in Warsaw. The park's name, literally translated into Lithuanian, means 'royal baths.' The park got its name because, at the end of the 17th century, a bath was built on the island of the park, which, after various building expansions, became the current Palace on the Water (Pałac na Wyspie). Łazienki Królewskie is an exceptional example of the coexistence of culture and nature. In the park, one can admire the abundance of plants growing here. The park is also home to freely grazing deer, peacocks that have become symbols of the park, as well as many birds, including ducks, swans, gulls, and many other birds, and numerous squirrels that will check if there are any treats waiting in the outstretched palms of park visitors. Autumn time, the rustling leaves underfoot create a romantic atmosphere for those walking in the park...
