When was the last time you wrote something by hand? Thoughts are easier to organize when they are written down – verba volant, scripta manent (words fly away, what is written remains). Handwriting has many benefits that, despite technological advances, are still important. Here are some of them: - improved concentration – it forces greater focus and conscious processing of information, - better memory – because it engages more areas of the brain than typing on a keyboard, - development of motor skills – strengthens the precision and manual dexterity of the hand, - supporting creativity – encourages the creation of new ideas and mental connections, - stress reduction – can be therapeutic, helping to express emotions and organize thoughts, the rhythm of writing acts meditatively, soothingly, - personal and authentic message – handwritten notes and letters have a more individual, personal character, - improvement of language skills – forces greater attention to spelling and grammar, which develops language skills, - teaches patience and perseverance – especially with longer texts. What will the classes look like? In addition to learning the shapes of letters developed by Palmer (lowercase, uppercase, ways of connecting them, creating words and sentences), during this course we will also work on: - trying to improve your everyday handwriting, - improving your own signature, - designing your own monogram in the form of a so-called paraph, - trying out other tools you can use for everyday writing. ✨ WHEN? 8 afternoon meetings on Wednesdays: 18:00-20:00 October: 1, 8, 22, 29 November: 19, 26 December: 3, 10, 17 FOR WHOM? - for beginners looking for a new passion or favorite style, - besides substantive value, the workshops are also for those tired of being only at home and at work, - for those seeking a moment of respite and relaxation in an atmospheric studio, among people sharing the same passion, - for those who want to enter the world of handicrafts or art but lack the courage.
