Copperplate script (English cursive) delights with the elegance and clarity of slanted letters. Once mandatory in school writing lessons, today it becomes a fascinating journey into the world of calligraphy and beautiful style. We look back nostalgically at the correspondence and notes of our grandparents. Especially for you, we have created an opportunity to step back in time and discover the secrets of the script that shaped the character and style of past generations for years. What will the classes look like? Calligraphy classes at Nice Letter Studio are not just about learning a particular script style, but also: - basic tools: which to choose, what they are for, how to use them, - essential writing media: ink or paint, or maybe gold? - paper: which one doesn't let ink bleed, - how to practice at home without reinforcing mistakes, - letters: exercises, lowercase alphabet, first words, uppercase letters, - a finished work ready for framing! ✨ WHEN? 10 meetings on Tuesday afternoons: 18:00-20:00 October: 7, 14, 21, 28 November: 4, 18, 25 December: 2, 9, 16 👥 FOR WHOM? - for beginners looking for a new passion or favorite style, - besides substantive value, workshops are also for those tired of staying only at home and work, - for those seeking a moment of respite and relaxation in an atmospheric studio, among people sharing the same passion, - for those who want to enter the world of handicrafts or art but lack courage. We invite everyone over 16 years old. 📝 WHAT DO YOU NEED? What do you need for the classes? You don't need any materials! Everything is available in our studio. We make sure to surround you with the highest quality materials so you lack nothing. Nothing will stop our creativity! We have prepared a starter kit for you, which will immediately allow you to continue calligraphy at home: - 2-in-1 oblique and straight pen holder, - nib with reservoir, - ink/paint, - a set of original templates, line guides, and exercises prepared on good quality paper, including an extensive set of exercises to do at home. 👨🏫 WHO WILL LEAD THE CLASSES? Wojciech Malinowski @callimetria Wojtek is a mathematics graduate from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. He signed up for his first calligraphy course in 2019, starting with Gothic script. That one meeting with calligraphy was enough to awaken a great passion in him. Since then, he has been constantly developing his skills, training under many calligraphers. Letters have become an important part of his life. It may be surprising that a mathematician dealing with data analysis daily practices art. It is precisely his mathematical education that enables him to have an analytical view and a deep understanding of letter geometry. His skills include broad-edged nib, brush, and pointed nib. He fell completely in love with the latter, immersing himself in the shapes of English cursive. Registration via the website
