A monthly brush lettering course will introduce you to the world of calligraphy! Brush Lettering is the art of drawing letters using a brush or a pen with a brush-like tip. The brush tip is very flexible and sensitive to pressure. Depending on how hard we press the tool against the paper, we can achieve thin or thick lines. This creates an interesting contrast between the elements of the letter. The classes will begin with an analysis of the template and a discussion of letter anatomy. After warming up and getting familiar with the new tool, we will explore the alphabet of lowercase letters, try our first words and sentences, and discuss spacing between letters, words, and lines. Then, uppercase letters and complete compositions! 📅 WHEN? 4 sessions on October Mondays: 6, 13, 20, 27 👥 WHO IS IT FOR? - For beginners looking for a new passion or favorite style, - Beyond the educational value, workshops are also for people tired of staying only at home and work, - For those seeking a moment of relaxation in a cozy studio, surrounded by people who share the same passion, - For individuals who want to enter the world of crafts or art but lack the courage. What do you need for the classes? - You don’t need any materials! - Everything is available in our studio. - We ensure you have access to high-quality materials so that nothing is missing. Nothing will stop our creativity! We’ve prepared a starter kit for you, which will immediately allow you to continue calligraphy at home: - 2-in-1 oblique and straight pen holder, - nib with reservoir, - ink, - a set of custom templates, guidelines, and exercises prepared on high-quality paper, including an extensive set of exercises for home practice. 👩‍🏫 WHO WILL LEAD THE CLASSES? Aleksandra Ćwikowska - Founder of Nice Letter Studio, - Artist and scientist, - Professional calligrapher (15 years of experience!), - Certified conservator and restorer of artworks specializing in paper and leather conservation, manuscripts, and modern and contemporary art, - Graduate of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts, - Academic lecturer. She contributes to the preservation of heritage and the development of calligraphy by organizing original courses and calligraphy demonstrations. Her works and knowledge are appreciated in Poland and abroad at conferences, exhibitions, and publications. Her works have been awarded in international competitions. Registration via the website.
