I invite you to an afternoon Saturday walk along Krakowskie Przedmieście, undoubtedly the most beautiful part of the Royal Route. We will see an absolutely extraordinary place: monastery gardens in their spring attire. We are in for an extraordinary journey, a walk full of mysterious, romantic, amusing, but also blood-curdling stories about Krakowskie Przedmieście. During the walk, we will learn, among others: - the mysterious way in which Mazovia was incorporated into the Crown - how a certain extraordinary romance influenced the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth - how, during the reign of King Stanisław August, services were combined with the oldest profession in the world - several ways to maintain eternal youth - the story of a blood-curdling wedding - how to deliver a silent speech - whose carriage was pulled by bears - the unusual occupation of a queen - the 'madness' of our double Nobel laureate - who wore a red wig and for what purpose - the story of a bloody drama in a famous restaurant - how Chopin's piano ended up on the pavement and many other colorful stories about people and places associated with Krakowskie Przedmieście. 📅 Start: 11.10 (Saturday), 12:00 at St. Anne's Church (Krakowskie Przedmieście 68). 📍 End: at the Copernicus Monument (near Staszic Palace) The walk will be led by KASIA - a licensed Warsaw guide and blogger. 📞 Tel. 505 023 782 Participation in the walk is free, but a tip after the walk will be warmly welcomed. We gently remind you that we put a lot of substantive and documentary work into preparing the walk to make it as attractive as possible for you. #magicofwarsaw #krakowskieprzedmiesciespacer #guidedwalk
