About the event

I invite you to recurring breathwork journeys — every second Monday at Studio Kolorów.



Full Breath is my original, unique method of self-discovery, therapy and inner integration. It draws elements from holotropic breathing, shamanism and Gestalt psychotherapy, creating a singular, extremely deep experience.



Breath is a natural, primal and powerful medicine. With its help we create conditions to reconnect what was once separated — and move toward a state of integration, health and wholeness. During the journey we hold a safe, intimate space necessary for a transformative and healing experience.



Full Breath is not a technique, but a surrender to the guidance of the body and spirit. Don’t worry — you don’t have to breathe intensely or rapidly; the basis is following your inner guidance. Breath is directed both by the autonomic nervous system (body, subconscious) and the central nervous system (consciousness) — creating an integrating bridge between body and spirit, between consciousness and the subconscious.



The words 'breath' and 'spirit' share the same root — breath is a movement from spirit, its descent and embodiment in the body. Through breath we go beyond the limits of everyday, habitual consciousness and enter dimensions of expanded awareness.



Expanded awareness includes the spheres:



  • Body / Subconscious (lower Self)
  • Spirit / Superconsciousness (higher Self)
  • Psyche / Consciousness (I)


Entering deep contact with the body and the subconscious creates conditions to release tensions in the body, unexpressed emotions and old traumas. Contact with the spirit / superconsciousness sphere enables experiences of transcendence, guidance, meaning, insights and seeing your story from a higher perspective. Integration of unconscious content leads to greater integrity of the psyche and the experience of the Self — in which we feel fully ourselves: authentic, true, empowered, safe and capable of close relationships.



When in early childhood we experienced hurt, abandonment, threat, traumas (and we all did), the only thing we could do was cut off from the pain — among other things by shallowing the breath. This instinctive reaction allowed survival, but by cutting off from the pain we also, to a greater or lesser extent, cut off from the body, from feeling, from life.



Deepened breath restores connection with the primal life energy (also called the life drive, libido, kundalini) — connected with vitality, instincts, sexuality, anger and creativity. Opening to the flow of this energy in the body, we may experience intense, repressed emotions (sadness, anger, anxiety), re-experiencing old traumas, bodily tensions, uncontrolled movements, tremors and shakes.



By unblocking the flow of life energy we gain access to greater vitality, clarity, spontaneity and creativity.



On the nervous system level the breath journey allows exiting survival modes:



  • fight or flight — tension, control, anxiety, arousal, compulsion to act
  • shutdown — freezing, numbness, fatigue, apathy, emptiness
  • transition to the ventral vagus state — sense of safety, calm, spontaneity, ability to enter close relationships


Regular breath practice deepens the ability to regulate the nervous system and return to the ventral vagus state. We will be guided by carefully selected music and the sounds of traditional, healing instruments.



The whole meeting lasts about 3 hours and includes:



  • opening circle
  • introduction
  • breathwork journey — about 1.5 hours
  • "landing"
  • sharing (sharing experiences with the rest of the group)


What does breathwork practice give?



  • greater integration of the psyche and deeper contact with your authentic Self
  • deepened contact with the body, emotions and the subconscious
  • expression of accumulated and blocked emotions
  • dissolving blockages and tensions in the body, unblocking the flow of life energy
  • regulation of the nervous system — exiting survival modes (shutdown / fight or flight) to the ventral vagus state (safety, relaxation, calm)

Classes take place in a limited group of people. Participation is guaranteed by a deposit of 50 zł (contact via message — profile Jednia. Ciało, Umysł, Serce, Duch).



Practical tips:



  • Come with a light stomach.
  • On the day of the journey we do not consume psychoactive substances.
  • Bring water to drink; you can also take your favorite blanket.
  • Please arrive punctually, especially if it's your first time.


The end time is approximate; depending on the number of participants and the course of the group process sessions may be slightly shorter or longer.



Contraindications:



serious heart disease or a history of psychotic disorders. In other cases Full Breath is a safe experience. If in doubt, contact me.
