The Cultural Studies Student Association at Jagiellonian University and the Institute of Intercultural Studies at Jagiellonian University invite you to the National Student Scientific Conference “Rhythms of the World: Socio-cultural Dimensions of Music”, which will take place on 28 April 2026 at the Faculty of International and Political Studies of the Jagiellonian University (ul. Władysława Reymonta 4, 30-059 Kraków).
Music is an extremely important element of culture – it has accompanied humans since time immemorial. It reflects the world around us, conveys emotions and values – a medium of expression embedded in broader cultural and socio-political contexts.
Presentation topics may include issues such as:
Undergraduate and graduate students are eligible to participate in the conference.
Submitting abstracts: until 31 March
Abstract length: up to 300 words
Presentation time: maximum 15 minutes
Language of presentation: Polish
Notification of acceptance or rejection of abstracts: by 5 April
