How often during the day do you realize you’re acting automatically? You reach for your phone before you have time to think. You put important things “off until later.” You react impulsively, escape into distractions, or look for quick relief whenever tension appears. This is not a matter of weak will. It’s how humans operate. The autopilot is meant to save energy and quickly regulate state. The problem starts when autopilot takes the wheel too often and you feel less and less like you are choosing.
The meeting’s reference point will be Viktor E. Frankl’s logotherapeutic approach, which reminds us that meaning is not reserved for exceptional moments but also arises in everyday choices. Frankl emphasized that there is a space between stimulus and response: a short moment in which we can stop the automatic reaction and choose our attitude. This micro-space can change a lot, because instead of a reflexive reaction there appears a conscious response, closer to who you want to be.
During the meeting you will learn how to recognize the moment when autopilot turns on, how to notice impulses and habitual escapes into relief, and how to return to having influence without fighting with yourself. This is an invitation to a simple, practical look at everyday life: less automatic, more conscious, and with responses you don’t have to justify to yourself later.
