    About the event

    I warmly invite you to an 8-week hybrid meditation course, featuring the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR®) method by Jon Kabat-Zinn and somatic bodywork based on Somatic Experiencing®. 🗓️ The course will start on February 4th and end on March 25th. It will consist of 9 meetings: on Wednesdays from 6:00 PM in Stary Mokotów, Warsaw, and one Mindfulness Day, most likely on Sunday, March 22nd. About the course: Since 2010, when MBSR appeared in Poland, I have been leading these courses continuously – as a teacher, Zen Buddhist, and a person facing my own inner demons. Over time, I have enriched this structure with techniques that support effective use of meditation practices. I create a space for sharing in a safe circle (in line with the SE approach). What can you expect? - Guided meditation and group discussion of experiences - Embodied experience of the power of unconditional love and acceptance, which is the heart of meditation - Meeting in the raw truth of the present moment, before the voice of the critic and with self-compassion - Building resilience - Letting go of old beliefs and patterns (sometimes through grief and pain) - Grounding and self-regulating practices - Integrated release of difficult emotions held in the body - Conscious contact with needs and boundaries About meditation: Mindfulness is awareness – non-judgmental presence with what we feel in the moment. By practicing it, we stop feeding thoughts, which are often the main source of stress. The body – always present – constantly calls for our attention, reacting even to unconscious content. Meditation allows us to pause, notice what we are doing to ourselves, and take responsibility for it. Important: Meditation does not replace psychotherapy, but it can support it. Before starting the course, it is worth informing your therapist. Contraindications: active depression, severe anxiety, psychosis, addictions, active PTSD.
