    EuroJAZZ Foundation and the Bielany Cultural Centre invite you to a concert!



    • Maciej Sikała – saxophone
    • Wojciech Pulcyn – double bass
    • Sebastian Frankiewicz – drums


    A concert featuring material from the trio’s latest album, highly praised by journalists and jazz experts.



    Maciej Sikała – saxophonist, composer, arranger and university lecturer. He is among the most highly regarded Polish jazz musicians; his main instruments are tenor and soprano saxophones. He has recorded over 60 jazz albums, including several as a leader. He has played in many groups, including Miłość and Leszek Możdżer’s quintet and sextet. He has collaborated with leading Polish jazz artists such as Jan Ptaszyn Wróblewski, Tomasz Szukalski, Henryk Miśkiewicz, Jarosław Śmietana, Wojciech Karolak, as well as foreign musicians like Lester Bowie, Kenny Wheeler, Billy Harper, Billy Hart, David Liebman, Reggie Workman and others. For years he has been active as an instructor at jazz workshops (Chodzież, Puławy, Nysa). He has received many awards. He currently performs with the Maciej Sikała Trio.



    Wojciech Pulcyn – one of the most recognized jazz double bass players in Poland. Composer of music for many theatrical productions and winner of numerous national and international competitions. He has participated in numerous recordings and concerts with various artists, including Ewa Bem, Michał Urbaniak, Kapela ze Wsi Warszawa, Piotr Baron, Wojciech Karolak, Janusz Muniak, Jarek Śmietana, Urszula Dudziak and Aga Zaryan.



    Sebastian Frankiewicz – drummer, composer and university lecturer. Winner of many awards. He has been a member of bands led by, among others, Janusz Muniak, Zbigniew Namysłowski and Lora Szafran. He has collaborated with artists such as Urszula Dudziak, Grażyna Auguścik, Dorota Miśkiewicz, Aga Zaryan, Monika Borzym, Kayah, Włodzimierz Nahorny, Wojciech Młynarski, the band Bisquit, as well as Kevin Mahogany and Patricia Barber. In 2011 he founded his own trio; in 2019 the trio was expanded and recorded the album 'Overtones'.
