We invite parents to a workshop about the role of play in family life. During the meeting we will look at play as a natural form of expression through which a child learns about the world, builds healthy relationships and self-esteem, releases tension, works through difficulties, and expresses themselves. We will discuss how play positively affects the relationship between child and parent and the therapeutic role of play in supporting development and emotional regulation. We will also examine how a child, through play, tells about their inner world.
The workshop is run in the spirit of Lawrence J. Cohen’s parenting through play.
