Illnesses, dysfunctions and sensory disorders in children: a systemic constellations workshop

A child is half from mother and father. And in those halves there is a quarter from one grandmother and grandfather and a quarter from the other grandmother and grandfather. This is who we are. These qualities and behaviours are what we present.

If there are tensions and conflicts, difficulties between parents, between parents and grandparents, someone was excluded from the family or someone could not be close — out of love, because of further entanglements or systemic disorders in the family — the child will present that “undesired behaviour”, still out of love for that person, for mother and father, so that it remains together with them.

The child becomes entangled in fates and stands supporting the weak, unseen, forgotten. On the level of the soul it looks at deceased siblings instead of looking at the parents. It gives up successes for them — because they failed, so it cannot succeed either. This lack of success is a lack of life in them: joy, drive, health and movement.

Some children keep playing fights on computers instead of taking a mother’s or father’s place, wanting to avenge a killed grandfather. Some are born already wise, with wise eyes like an old person. Who are they looking at with that wisdom? Who is missing in the family? Whose life will this child live?

In sensory integration disorders children often present those excluded from the family: the impaired, the drunk, those who were at fault and whom the family does not want to look at.

The body — what comes from women; movement — what comes from men. Sometimes, out of loyalty to the mother and against the father, children do not go into movement, as if they were not allowed.

Sometimes the body cannot process or reproduce correct sequences in actions. This is PRAXIS — a deficit of the child's first own movement, and that is birth: the child's first movement, which it initiates and positions its body in the birth canal. When it gets stuck, or for some reason this is taken from it by cesarean or induction, it does not know what to do and also lacks strength… primal strength.

It does not initiate its own matters in life, needs help, direction, encouragement. It experiences its life as if someone else is doing it for them. In this incapacitation there is a lot of strength and aggression, struggling within and, in a sense, struggling with the mother.

CHILDBIRTH IS FINISHED WHEN THE MOTHER REJOICES IN THE CHILD!

A woman who gets stuck in pain, looking at the child feels only pain. The child confirms this with further disorders, until the matter moves toward helplessness for the woman and seeking deeper solutions on the soul level. There she lands in the arms of her mother, and then has the strength to accept her child.

Interrupted movement of love — for many families this is a multi-level situation.
