Weaving with Rags in Bielany at Kasprowicza 14

“Darciuchy” are rag rugs made from worn t-shirts, pillowcases and sheets. We cut them like apple peels to create yarn, then weave your own mandala from it.

On site available: crochet hooks (sizes 5.5–8 mm).

🧺 Bring with you:

• washed, worn t-shirts, pillowcases, sheets
• sharp scissors
• calm and a positive attitude
• something small to share at the communal neighborhood table

You don’t need to be an expert crocheter, but a bit of discipline, a positive attitude and an open mind are necessary.

The meeting is led by Kinga — the initiator of Pleciemy w koło, a project combining art and ecology where everyone can create in a zero-waste spirit. She is passionate about art therapy and working with children and adults, including people with adaptation difficulties.

Our contract:

• We address each other by first name
• We learn from each other, not only from Kinga — so we ask for help from someone who, judging by their work, seems to understand what our difficulty might be
• We practise turn-taking in conversation (only talking about yourself and your achievements without willingness to listen is not turn-taking)
