We invite you to a winter micro-expedition to the Bug River Podlasie region. In the first part of the day, we will visit Korczew, located on the western bank of the river. Next, we will head to the Bug itself, where at the "Nad Jeziorkiem" farm, a sleigh ride, a nature walk, a bonfire, a feast by the fireplace, and a presentation of amazing photos showcasing the beauty of the Bug River nature await us! A family atmosphere, delicious regional cuisine, and a wealth of nature knowledge are thanks to the hosts, Beata and Michał Zabokrzecki! 🔗 REGISTRATION: https://poludnik21.pl/.../nadbuzanski-kulig-z-palacem-w.../ 🗓 PROGRAM: - Gathering of participants on January 24, 2026 (Saturday) at 8:00 AM, at the parking lot in front of the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw (parking in front of the "Kinoteka" cinema). - Departure at 8:10 AM towards Sokołów Podlaski. - Planned end at the meeting place around 7:30/8:00 PM. KORCZEW – here we will visit the famous park-palace complex of the Kuczyński and Ostrowski families. We will trace the history of the Korczew estate from the Middle Ages to the present day. There will be stories about the mysterious menhir hidden among the trees in the park, barges full of grain, Cyprian Kamil Norwid, and the evacuation of Polish gold in 1939 (we will tour the park + the summer palace called "Siberia"). SLEIGH RIDE – a traditional horse-drawn sleigh ride through the Bug River wilderness! (if there is no snow, we will go by wagons!) WINTER NATURE WALK BY THE BUG – a walk along and by the eastern bank of the Bug with an extraordinary guide, naturalist, and nature photographer (led by Mr. Michał Zabokrzecki). BUG RIVER FEAST BY THE FIREPLACE AND BONFIRE – here, by the glow of the fireplace and the crackling of logs, we will rest, warm up, and eat! Delicacies await: bigos, hot red borscht, sausages (to roast over the bonfire), Bug River zaguby, traditional lard, delicious faworki (hard to find similar ones), coffee, tea, and something stronger to warm up. There will also be food for vegetarians. NATURE SLIDESHOW – a presentation of extraordinary photos by nature photographer Michał Zabokrzecki. The photos will show the four seasons in the Bug River valley.
