We invite you to a one-day winter expedition to Wielka Sowa! We will conquer the highest peak of the Owl Mountains in its most beautiful, winter version. Snow-covered forests, frosty landscapes, and views that will stay in your memory for a long time will create a unique atmosphere for this mountain adventure. It's the perfect opportunity to feel the winter magic of the Sudetes and spend an active day in an extraordinary setting. Trip Plan 🕒 We will meet on Friday, February 6th at 11:45 PM at Plac Defilad (parking lot opposite Kinoteka). After gathering the group, we will head to Łódź to pick up the rest of the participants. We will pick up the rest of the group at the BP station, ul. Kątna 1, 92-638 Łódź, around 1:15 AM and set off towards the Owl Mountains. In the early morning hours, we will have a one-hour breakfast stop at a nearby gas station. During the breakfast stop, each participant will be able to change into clothes suitable for the trail. Then, from the breakfast stop, we head to the town of Walim, where we begin our hike. Throughout the trip, we travel by the same coach, so unnecessary items can be left on it. There are two route options to choose from: a shorter and a longer one. Each participant chooses their route according to their abilities. The basic route includes an ascent to Wielka Sowa and a visit to the PTTK Zygmuntówka mountain hut. The longer route also includes an ascent to Kalenica, where there is a lookout tower. We will have approximately 9-10 hours to complete the entire route. We hike without pressure! Each participant moves at their own pace, and the guide closes the group so that no one is left alone. Around 4:30 PM we will meet at the parking lot and head back.
