Sewing Properly - Travel Pouches

The pile of discarded textiles in many wardrobes keeps growing because of the fast fashion trend. Try looking at your 'unwanted' clothes and other textiles in a new way — take them out of your wardrobe and bring them with you. It's the best and simplest way to start learning how to recognize material properties, because upcycling is both fun and educational.

Through these workshops you'll discover the exciting variety of possibilities that sewing skills bring for creating beautiful and functional items. During the classes you will learn the basics of sewing craft and proper handling of a sewing machine and equipment. The workshop will be led by Kasia, our experienced seamstress.

Travel pouches — for short and long trips. Indispensable for organizing luggage, work bags or school backpacks; they make sorting, packing and accessing what we need easier. There will be an opportunity to design them in different sizes — who doesn't love sets? Simple to sew and essential in life.

Priority registration is given to people who have not previously participated in the Travel Pouches workshop.

Getting there:

• Closest stop: Rydygiera (buses) – about 2 minutes on foot, or Plac Grunwaldzki (trams, buses) – about 4 minutes on foot
• Flat access via sidewalk; in front of CLŻ the path is straight with small gravel
• Parking spaces available along Rydygiera Street, including a spot for people with disabilities
• The Centrum Lokalne Żoliborz building has a ToTuPoint marker
