On our winter walk, we will discover the history of old Warsaw preserved in legends and monuments of the Old Town. Legends were usually passed down orally long before being written down. We will bring to life mysterious Old Town creatures, uncover incredible stories, and explore places of extraordinary events. During the walk, we will learn, among other things: - Who cut through one of the clouds - Whose ghost appeared at the Royal Castle - How to trick the devil - What exactly the executioner did - Who was considered a wizard and why - How to defeat the Basilisk - Where the saying "poverty squeaks" comes from - How pandemics were fought in the past - Who was the air mayor - Whether the Mermaid always looked the same - How to fulfill your secret wishes - Whether a single hair can imprison a thief ✨ Start: 28.12. (Sunday), 12:00 📍 Meeting point: Grodzka Gate (gate at the Royal Castle from the W-Z route side) ⏳ Tour duration: about 90 minutes 🏁 End: at the Jesuit Church on Świętojańska 10.
