I invite you to a walk through the alleys of the Old Town district. During the walk, we will hear stories that are not necessarily known to everyone. ✨ We meet on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 5:00 PM at the Bridge by Sigismund's Column. The walk is planned to last about 1.5 hours. We will find out, among other things: - Who sold Sigismund's Column and for how much? - How did Professor Zachwatowicz trick Bierut? - Where was the prison where parties lasted until dawn? - Who got slapped at the Old Town by the fountain? - Where can you stand on a pile of historic manure and garbage? - Who established the first investigative commission? - Where is the narrowest tenement house in Europe? - How were people with syphilis treated? - Where was the first Warsaw bridge located? - Which street is said to have been the center of Warsaw's erotic tourism? - Where did Warsaw's first meteorologist live? ...and many more. There is no fee for participating in the walk, but if you feel the guide deserves a tip (...) The walk will be led by a city guide from Warszawski Zaułek. You are warmly invited and see you there.
