About the event

Please sign up thoughtfully! Register only if you know you will be able to attend. Cancel your participation as soon as possible so we can invite people from the waiting list.

The lively music of drums, the beautiful song of the black (woodpecker) and virtuosic playing on the large branches... Sounds like a concert teaser? Not this time! Bring the kids, grandparents and friends and come to the forest for a walk with a licensed ornithologist and bird-ringer to learn the secrets of the forest percussionists — the woodpeckers.

During the walk we will learn the adaptive features of these birds, known as primary cavity nesters, and find out the important role they play in the ecosystem.

What to bring:

  • good mood
  • lots of curiosity
  • clothing suitable for the weather

The walk is intended for children from 12 years old. Participants under 18 are welcome under supervision.

We will provide the meeting place to registered participants before the event.
