Bagna Celestynowskie, the TV Wilkowyje and the fir reserve Jata #5 from Warsaw

Guided walk around the picturesque Bagna Celestynowskie in the Mazowiecki Landscape Park, in the fir Reserve Jata and a stroll through Jeruzal, known as Wilkowyje from the TV series “Ranczo”.

Program

• Meeting in Warsaw at 07:00 at the stop by ul. Emilii Plater 47.
• In the Mazowiecki Landscape Park we will hike through pine forests along a scenic trail around picturesque in-forest marshes. We will visit the Bagno Bocianowskie nature reserve and the Goździkowe Bagno peat bog. The area is protected as part of the Natura 2000 network. Above Goździkowe Bagno we will walk on wooden boardwalks that form an educational trail, climb a high sandy dune, return to the coach and continue our journey. Distance to walk: approx. 6 km.
• We will stop in Jeruzal, a small village well known to fans of the TV series “Ranczo” as Wilkowyje. We will see the wooden, shingle-roofed Church of St. Wojciech from the 18th century; in the shops around the market you can buy gadgets with the series’ characters and try the famous “Mamrot”.
• The next attraction will be the Jata Reserve hidden in the Łuków Forests, where one of the largest concentrations of fir trees found outside their natural range is protected. Some parts of the forest are even 170 years old. Much of the reserve grew naturally without human intervention. Among the fauna there are rarely seen birds such as honey buzzards and black storks; an interesting fact is the presence of 12 species of bats. Distance to walk: approx. 9 km.

After sightseeing there is a break for a meal. Return to Warsaw around 18:30.
