    About the event

    I am pleased to invite you to the workshop: Introduction to NeuroYoga - how to support your well-being on and off the mat? During the meeting, I will explain why it is worth considering not only knowledge about how muscles and joints work but also the brain when moving. We will explore ways to use knowledge about the nervous system to take care of ourselves not only on the mat but also in everyday life, and then we will experiment with how these methods work for us in practice. So, what is NeuroYoga all about, and why do I want to share it with you? Yoga has long provided tools that support the regulation of the nervous system (including mindful movement and pranayama, or breathwork). In NeuroYoga, we consciously use these and other tools (including the latest neurological and psychological knowledge) to support the nervous system's ability to self-regulate and smoothly switch between activation and relaxation. In addition to asanas (yoga poses), there is more work with the eyes, balance, breath, body mapping, exploring new movements, and fluid swaying. We do this to find pleasure and play in movement, build a sense of safety and self-support. An additional effect may be pleasant relaxation, greater capacity for stressors, and increased functional range and strength. This could be a response to the needs of modern humans. This workshop is suitable for you whether or not you have had any prior experience with yoga. It can be a good opportunity for a first or subsequent encounter with NeuroYoga. You can join to practice gentle movement and take a moment for yourself, or to learn tools that make you feel better and that you can use daily. I believe everyone will find something for themselves!
