Zygmunta Krasińskiego 35A, Warsaw Led by SWAMI JAYADEVI MATA PURI, a nun and teacher of yoga and meditation according to the Yoga in Daily Life system, with 25 years of experience and practice. During this workshop, Swami Jayadevi will guide us through practice (Asanas, pranayama, mantra meditation) and theory across the 8 branches of Raja Yoga, explaining the comprehensive and unique potential of yoga for achieving a healthy, harmonious, and meaningful life. The goals of the workshop are: - Complete immersion in Raja Yoga. - Learning how to expand awareness – through gradual development and deepening of mindfulness and wisdom. - Learning to apply simple yoga practices in daily life that help face crises and critical moments. - Learning the art of contentment (santosha) and transforming sad moments. - Understanding the benefits of practices included in Raja Yoga. Program: - 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM - theory - 1:00 PM - 1:30 PM - break with light refreshments - 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM - practice Raja Yoga (also known as Ashtanga Yoga) is the Royal Path that integrates 8 branches of yoga practice, including ethical and moral principles, techniques beneficial for physical and mental health, and achieving the goal of yoga: self-realization or enlightenment. Raja means King. A King acts with independence, confidence, and self-belief. Similarly, a Raja Yogi is autonomous, independent, and fearless. Raja Yoga is a path of self-discipline and practice. The eight steps of Raja Yoga are a systematic learning process leading to inner peace, clarity, and self-control. Since 1998, she has regularly attended International Yoga Seminars led by the Master himself and other yoga teachers, physiotherapists, and rehabilitation specialists, held in India, the Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, and Slovakia. In 2001, she passed the teaching exam and received an International Certificate authorizing her to conduct yoga classes in this system. Since then, she has been teaching yoga and conducting yoga workshops in Poland, mainly in Warsaw, and organizing yoga retreats in Poland, Europe, and India. In July 2021, she took sannyas diksha, initiation into the ancient order of swamis, and became a nun, fulfilling her long-held desire to fully dedicate herself to spiritual life, whose essence is Karma Yoga /Seva/ - positive action for the benefit of all.
