WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION This workshop presents the holistic BodyMind Gestalt approach in a practical way, which is body-oriented and supports embodied presence. Our body is intelligent, has the ability to self-organize and adapt, and the experience of the body influences how we perceive ourselves, our relationships, and our work. Our physicality shapes our reality: how we influence the world and are influenced by it. In this workshop, we will explore how being in contact with the body increases our presence and effectiveness in personal development and professional practice. Experimenting in BodyMind Gestalt is not just a set of learned practices and established ways of acting. For enlivened contact that affects the body awareness of our clients, we need to bring our own embodied presence into the relationship and support the emergence of an embodied field between us. In such an embodied field, some of the socio-cultural divisions between body and mind can be healed. During the classes, there will be an opportunity to experience yourself in the body and movement in various forms, such as movement warm-ups, breathwork, bodywork through touch, dance, contact improvisation, and voice, and perhaps also through other creative practices: writing and drawing. An important part of the workshop will also be relational experiments focused on the body, which enable the creation and support of an embodied field between us. We will play a lot, interact, practice together, and participate in therapeutic sessions in subgroups. There will also be theoretical presentations and time to discuss possible therapeutic applications and create personal/professional meanings from our experiences. The workshop is intended for PRACTICING graduates and advanced students of psychotherapy schools (3rd-4th year of training), counseling, coaching, somatic-movement education of various approaches, who are interested in deepening individual clinical work with the aspect of embodiment in the BodyMind Gestalt approach. Workshop program includes, among others: - basic concepts, attitudes, and practices of the BodyMind Gestalt approach - specific ways to support embodied presence through breathing, grounding, centering, and sensory body scanning - supporting sensations and developing the language of the senses - creating awareness experiments from the "toolbox" of the BodyMind Gestalt approach - expressive work with content and topics that emerge in the here-and-now session FACILITATOR Arye Bursztyn is a BodyMind Gestalt therapist in private practice, trainer, and supervisor.
