Vernissage of the exhibition "House of Art. House of People. 70 Years of the Norwid Culture Center" 🎉 18 Dec 2025 / 6:00 PM 🖼️ Exhibition open 19 Dec 2025 – 12 Oct 2026 Huta Sztuki Gallery, Norwid Culture Center Free admission House of Art. House of People. 70 Years of the Norwid Culture Center The Cyprian Kamil Norwid Culture Center in Krakow is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year. On this occasion, the exhibition "House of Art. House of People. 70 Years of the Norwid Culture Center" has been prepared, with its vernissage taking place on December 18, 2025, at 6:00 PM at the Huta Sztuki Gallery (os. Górali 5, Krakow). The exhibition presents the history of one of the oldest cultural institutions in Nowa Huta—a place that has accompanied residents in their daily lives for seven decades, developed their passions, and connected generations. The exhibition shows the beginnings of the former Lenin Steelworks Cultural House, documenting its development from the 1950s to the present-day Norwid Culture Center. Over the years, the institution has changed its name, activity profile, and locations, but has always remained close to people—open to the needs of the community and cooperation with artists. It is here that initiatives were born, co-creating the cultural identity of Nowa Huta: amateur art groups, workshops, festivals, exhibitions, and a unique collection of contemporary art. The exhibition "House of Art. House of People" is not only a journey through the institution's history, but also a tribute to all creators, animators, and participants who have made this place special—a home for art, people, and community.
