Who is this workshop for: The workshop is intended for people working psychotherapeutically in various modalities. Especially for those who feel uncertain in the area of sexuality. Both those in psychotherapy training and experienced psychotherapists can participate in the workshop. Participation in the workshop provides 20 didactic hours, which meet the requirements for EAGT certification and the training conditions required by Gestalt psychotherapy institutes. What will this workshop be about: People with self-diagnosed sex addiction come to therapy offices. In popular culture, the term "sex addiction" is often overused, leading to the misdiagnosis of compulsions as addiction. Social pressure and stigmatization in the area of sexuality make this topic often taboo, and people experiencing problems may be seen as "addicted," even if their behaviors are compulsive or result from other disorders. Symptoms of so-called "addiction" often overlap with other disorders (OCD, mood disorders). Overuse of the "addiction" category leads to: - stigmatization of patients, - abuse in therapy, - overlooking the real underlying problems. The classes focus on the practical dimension of working with clients experiencing compulsive sexual behaviors. We will cover both theoretical and clinical aspects, with an emphasis on ethics, therapist self-awareness, and effective intervention methods. Workshop program: - Ethics and boundaries in working with hypersexuality – how to maintain professionalism and avoid transgressions. - Diagnosis and differentiation – criteria for disorders, diagnostic tools, comorbidity with other problems (e.g., addictions, trauma). - Working with shame and resistance – practical principles for building a safe therapeutic relationship. - Sexuality and social norms – deconstruction of introjects and beliefs affecting therapy. - Practical case studies – analysis of cases and simulation of therapeutic sessions. Workshop goals: - Deepening therapist self-awareness in the area of sexuality and personal beliefs. - Acquiring tools for diagnosing and working with compulsive sexual behaviors. - Developing skills for conducting open, non-judgmental conversations about sexuality. - Practical application of selected therapeutic methods in a safe workshop environment. 📅 Date: November 8-9, 2025, 9:00 AM–7:00 PM ⏰ Time – 20h 📍 Location: Centrum Psychoterapii Przestworza, ul Narzymskiego 22/1 💰 Regular price: 1200 PLN 💸 Price for those in psychotherapy training and for psychology/sexology students: 900 PLN (upon presenting a certificate from the school or proof of study) To activate the discount, enter: SZKOŁA before finalizing the purchase in the "add discount" window Send the certificate to: centrum.przestworza@gmail.com 🏠 Format: In-person, possibility of mattress accommodation upon prior arrangement. 🔗 Registration link: https://centrum-przestworza.pl/sklep/ About the facilitator: Krzysztof Kościółek I am a certified supervisor and Gestalt psychotherapist, sexologist, teacher of the psychotherapy profession, and founder of Centrum Psychoterapii Przestworza. I hold a certificate from the European Association for Gestalt Therapy. I prepare future psychotherapists for the profession at the Łódź Gestalt School and the Gestalt Institute in Kraków. I specialize in working with GSRD (Gender Sexual and Relationship Diversity) individuals, both those who have just discovered their identity (sexual, gender, relational, or kink) and have difficulty accepting it, and those experiencing problems in relationships or the sexual sphere. I approach the free expression of gender, sexual, and relational diversity with respect. For me, the therapeutic relationship is a space where people (regardless of their problems, gender identity, sexuality, religion, beliefs, race, and skin color) can count on respect and understanding. Not only for the problems they bring, but above all for themselves as human beings.
