Stanisław Łubieński - naturalist, ornithologist and president of the Polish Society for the Protection of Birds will inspire us with excerpts from his Paszport Polityki–awarded book “Drugie życie Czarnego Kota” - a story about the urban jungle from the perspective of nature that coexists with us and, as the laudation says, “about the endurance of what surrounds us.”
Stanisław Łubieński is a cultural studies scholar, ukrainist and nature enthusiast. He has collaborated with publishers such as “Gazeta Wyborcza”, “Tygodnik Powszechny” and “Dwutygodnik”. He is the author of books, including “Pirat stepowy”, “Książka o śmieciach”, “Dwanaście srok za ogon”. He leads nature walks around Warsaw and the radio program “Księstwo Ptaków” on Trójka.

The improvised theatre Klancyk is one of the pioneers of comedic improvisation in Poland and the first Warsaw impro theatre. It has existed roughly since 2006. Their shows are stories written live, born before the audience’s eyes from group energy, momentary rapport and absurd humour. They co-created the new Warsaw comedy scene, including Klub Komediowy, the School of Improv and Resort Komedii. Klancyk has performed at literary, music and theatre festivals domestically and abroad, including Big Book Festival (Warsaw), the Zygmunt Haupt Festival (Gorlice), Festiwal po Drodze, Malta Festival (Poznań), Open’er Festival (Gdynia), Chicago Improv Festival, Del Close Marathon (New York), Jazzahead Festival (Bremen). They have collaborated with, among others, the National Library, the Adam Mickiewicz Institute, the Reportage Institute Foundation and Radio 357. They produce the comedy podcast “Codzienne trudności”.
