LAB BAL is an event combining a laboratory of movement and choreographic practices with the energy of rave culture. First, we activate the body and senses, and then we celebrate with a juicy DJ set! LAB – the first part is a facilitated somatic warm-up, during which we expand the field of perception, sharpen attention, and develop creativity in movement, exploring different trajectories and qualities. We slow down to tune the senses and deepen awareness of the body and its composition in space. BAL – the second part is an open space for collective improvisation, accompanied by diverse sounds of a DJ set. The shared experience of music creates another compositional layer. The sounds invite intense and pulsating dance, while also leaving room for pause, slowing down, or searching for your own rhythm and tempo. For whom? - LAB BAL is an event aimed at adults of all ages, regardless of movement experience, open to all body types, gender identities, as well as people on the neurodiversity spectrum and with diverse motor skills. - The building is adapted for people with disabilities. - When deciding to participate, please note that there will be loud music during the event. - If needed, please bring earplugs or noise-canceling headphones. - We will provide an additional quiet room – a calm place to rest. - We strive to create the most inclusive space possible, so please inform us in advance of individual needs – we will do our best to find solutions! 🎉 When? 20.12.2025, 16:00~20:00 📍 Where? In her practice, she uses contemporary dance techniques, partnering, somatic methods, and improvisation tools, focusing on liminality and the variability of form, as well as the relationship between the body and its ecosystem. She creates choreographies rooted in physical research, in the dynamics of cooperation, and contextual works in the natural environment. She graduated in performing arts from the Academy of Music in Łódź, cognitive science at the University of Warsaw, and completed an experimental choreography course at Centrum w Ruchu. DJ set: Magdala (Magdalena Gorbacz) Creative agent, DJ, and co-creator of the Powitańce initiative. Author of dance projects such as Bezgraniczny Dancing, Tańcochodzenie, and Afrodancje. She has played at festivals including: Kobiety Wschodu, Underground/Independent, Zubroffka, Ciało/Umysł, Dzikie jest Piękne, Festiwal Miłości, Tutaka Festival, Centralny Plac Zabaw, and as a guest at events by the Tropikalna Warszawa and Stacja Praga collectives.
