This is the last chance to dance together in our little house on Jazdów. First, a dance warm-up led by Natalia Klamann, and right after — a dance party! This time performing: - Zwykli Ludzie - Kapela Mateusza Kowalskiego - Kapela Apostola ZWYKLI LUDZIE Formed in 2014 as a research project by Joanna and Stanisław Strelnik, dedicated to analyzing rural rhythm techniques and old performance practices. Both explore different microregions — Staszek the north and center of Opoczno, Joanna the western Radom region. They collect, restore, and revive old basses. The band plays in a traditional lineup: violin/drum/baraban/bass, and the bassist (sometimes also the drummer) is Witold Wojciechowski. KAPELA MATEUSZA KOWALSKIEGO Singer, violinist, and accordionist, student of Jan Gaca. Co-creator of many important traditional music groups and communities (including Tęgie Chłopy, Strug Kompania, Monodia Polska, Warszawska Orkiestra Sentymentalna). His solo album won the NIFC special award at the Nowa Tradycja 2024 competition. Also known as Sam Kowalski. For years, he has worked with children and youth, leading workshops at the Dom Tańca Association and the Traditional Music Embassy, as well as classes in various institutions and music projects. KAPELA APOSTOLA Recreates the music of old weddings from Eastern Galicia, especially the Podolia region, using traditions preserved by Polish re-emigrants resettled after World War II. At the heart of their sound are cymbals and a repertoire built on musical research of traces left by repatriates from the former Lviv and Tarnopol voivodeships. Line-up: - Serhii Postolnikov — cymbals, violin - Anna Zhohlava — violin - Agata Weber — bass, frame drum, baraban Dance workshops before the dance party.
