TRAINING From Head to Neck - The Cranio-Cervical Area Through the Eyes of a Physiotherapist and Speech Therapist 📅 DATE: 11-12.10.2025 - Saturday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM - Sunday from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM 💰 PRICE: 1200 PLN 📍 LOCATION: Warsaw (exact training location will be provided to participants one month before the training) REGISTRATION: [email protected] TRAINING TOPICS: - Why is the temporomandibular joint so unique? - Anatomy, biomechanics of the temporomandibular joints and chewing muscles - Skull - an important component of the TMJ and the entire cranio-cervical area - What is the upper pharyngeal constrictor loop? - Cervical spine - mutual relationships with the jaw and hyoid bone - Larynx - the slave of the hyoid area - Breathing and how it can affect the orofacial area Why the perspective of a speech therapist? - Anatomy of tongue structures - Primary functions of the tongue - Normative swallowing - Resting position of the tongue - Facial muscles - Compensations - Comprehensive speech therapy examination SKILLS GAINED FROM THE TRAINING: - You will be introduced to the anatomy and mechanics of the temporomandibular joints - You will see the relationships it has with, among others, the cervical spine, hyoid area, and chest - You will learn about the impact of the skull on the temporomandibular joints - You will understand the functional interrelations of the cranio-mandibular area (e.g., swallowing, phonation, breathing) - You will learn to palpate and work on chewing muscles - You will learn to conduct a comprehensive speech therapy examination - You will learn how to check if a patient has proper tongue functions - You will review the muscles of the oral cavity floor and orofacial area - You will learn what compensations a patient may activate with impaired tongue functions - You will find out what to focus on during a comprehensive speech therapy examination - You will learn breathing techniques and how to tailor them to your patients We invite you!
